The Story About A Feast – Publication design

We have created a visual identity and publication design for the performing arts platform OPE-N. The publication documents a four-year-long project based on Karen Blixen’s life-affirming short story ‘Babette’s Feast’.

“The Story About A Feast is an interactive performance inspired by Karen Blixen's story about the fugitive Babette. She brings new life to a small closed community with the help of her culinary skills.

Inspired by the book, audiences from all parts of Denmark were invited to a celebratory dinner, asking them to represent one of the guests who gather around Babette's Feast – encouraging them to offer their take on how Karen Blixen's story could sound today”.

Take a look at the digital publication above: ‘The Story About A Feast; 2016-2020’.

The Story About A Feast is an OPE-N project developed with KGL-Dansk and the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen and toured around Denmark and Norway.
